Delhi Capitals adds new cricket academy in South Arabia

IPL team Delhi Capitals has expanded its cricket academy globally as they launched a new centre in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The franchise partnered with JSC Sports, which is the first international cricket academy in the city.

The newly established Delhi Capitals’ Jeddah centre features several key details. The academy currently trains more than 50 boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 17. The students are divided into four specific development categories.

The academy will implement the official Delhi Capitals curriculum, technical frameworks, and player development philosophy.

Perks of joining the Delhi Capitals’ Jeddah centre are that students will get access to ICC-certified coaches, specialised coaching tools, and international exchange programmes.

In a statement, Sunil Gupta, CEO of Delhi Capitals, is excited with the launch, noting it’s another milestone in our long-term vision to build a globally connected cricket development ecosystem.

Jazim Haris, JSC Sports head of operations and head of cricket, is looking forward to its partnership with Delhi Capitals to bring world-class coaching facilities to Jeddah.

DC has established their cricket centres in five countries, with seven academies in India and six academies across the UK, Canada, the US and now Saudi Arabia.
