CHENNAI: The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, is expected to officially release the supplementary examination results for Class 10 (SSLC) and Class 12 regular students in the coming days. The board has already published the supplementary scorecards for private candidates on its official portal.

Students who appeared for the July 2026 supplementary exams will be able to check and download their provisional marksheets through several official digital platforms, including tnresults.nic.in, dge.tn.gov.in, DigiLocker, and the UMANG app. To access the portals, candidates must enter their registration or exam roll number along with their date of birth. Authorities advise students to keep their hall tickets ready to avoid any login delays.

In a bid to make the results as accessible as possible, the DGE is also deploying an SMS notification system. Regular school students will receive their scores directly on the mobile numbers registered with their institutions, while private candidates will be notified via the numbers submitted during their online registration. For those who prefer offline methods, results can be collected directly from the students' respective schools.

The supplementary exams were held to give students a second opportunity after the main board results were declared earlier this year. The Class 12 marks were announced on May 8, 2026, followed by the Class 10 results on May 20, which recorded a strong overall pass percentage of 94.31% among the more than nine lakh students who appeared.

According to the exam authority, physical mark certificates—which are crucial for higher education admissions and job opportunities—will be distributed to schools through the DGE’s seven regional offices located in Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli, Chennai, Cuddalore, and Vellore.
