AIMIM's Waris Pathan Voices Support for Students' Protest

AIMIM leader Waris Pathan has voiced support for the ongoing education-related protests in Delhi, saying students have the democratic right to raise their concerns and urging the government to engage with their demands instead of politicising the issue.

His remarks came in response to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's protest outside the Prime Minister's residence over the students' demonstrations.

Calls for Focus on Students' Concerns

Addressing the issue, Pathan said his party stands with the protesting students and believes their grievances should be heard through constructive dialogue.

He stressed that the focus should remain on resolving education-related concerns rather than turning the movement into a political confrontation.

According to Pathan, governments should respond to students' demands with meaningful engagement and avoid allowing political differences to overshadow the core issues being raised.

Reaction to Rahul Gandhi's Protest

Commenting on Rahul Gandhi's demonstration outside the Prime Minister's residence, Pathan said the larger priority should be ensuring that students receive justice and that their voices are heard.

While acknowledging the political attention surrounding the protests, he maintained that the movement should not lose sight of its original purpose by becoming a partisan issue.

AIMIM Reaffirms Support

Pathan reiterated that the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) supports the students' right to peaceful protest and democratic expression.

He called on the government to consider the concerns raised by students seriously and work toward finding practical solutions through dialogue.
