On safety, the Scorpio Lifestyler is expected to offer Level-2 ADAS, a 540-degree camera, six airbags and hill hold assist, while the Hilux offers seven airbags and a 360-degree camera. CarDekho notes the Lifestyler is likely to carry more safety technology overall, though specifications remain unconfirmed.

On powertrains, the Scorpio Lifestyler is expected to get a 2-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine (up to 203 PS) and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel (up to 175 PS), both with manual or automatic transmissions, figures still pending official confirmation. The Hilux uses a single 2.8-litre mild-hybrid diesel producing 204 PS and 500 Nm, paired only with a 6-speed automatic and a choice of rear- or four-wheel drive.

The Scorpio Lifestyler is expected to start from an estimated Rs 19.79 lakh ex-showroom, not yet a confirmed launch price, according to CarDekho, while the Hilux is priced between Rs 31.99 lakh and Rs 36.69 lakh.
